Miradouro House
Lisbon
A private 2 story house located on the highest viewpoint of Lisbon, "Miradouro de Nossa Senhora do Monte". Originally, it was built in the 1940s and through out the time was a subject of various ampliations.
The intervention was to add a new transparent volume that contains a living room, bedroom and bathroom. Also it was about connecting all the building volumes and interior spaces with a serie of closed and opened terraces. Those terraces offered an obscured view on Lisbon and created new living and recreational areas. A new passage was created between the upper and the lower entrances of the property, as well as a parking space for 2 cars.
Moreover, the project added a lot of green areas to the city by creating roof gardens and a big vertical garden.
