Vila Berta

The street of "Vila Berta" is an iconic portuguese street where the famous movie "Patio das Cantigas" were shot.
This exceptional small street is situated in Graça, Lisbon. A project named “ Amo-te Berta” aimed to maintain and revitalize the public space.
We proposed many solutions, like turning the road into pedestrian passage only, creating green areas by analysing the movement in the street, designing the entrance gates, as well as designing a special bench that includes light, a small trash bin, a place to put your bag, and a bush that provides privacy.
The problem of trash bins which were scattered in front every entrance was solved by proposing an appropriate place and system for them. Also, a color study was made to repaint the facades and much more.
